KCD PR Wins IABC Silver Quill and Best of Show Awards for Communications Excellence

San Diego public relations firm recognized for outstanding media relations efforts spanning from Illinois to California.

2014 Silver Quill and Best of Show Award in Communications

San Diego —  KCD PR, a San Diego-based public relations and inbound marketing firm, announced today that it has been awarded a 2014 International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Pacific Plains Silver Quill Award of Excellence for its media relations campaign on behalf of its client The Advisor Center. The firm’s efforts were also awarded the prestigious ‘Best of Show’ honor for the Pacific Plains Region, which recognizes outstanding media relations efforts within 19 chapters of IABC which spans states from Illinois to California.

“The judges recognized KCD PR’s thoughtful approach to the client’s challenges and how they applied sound public and media relations approaches to meet those challenges,” said Paul Omodt, IABC Pacific Plains Silver Quill co-chair. “Their work represents the best in our region this year.”

The IABC Silver Quill awards program recognizes public relations work that exceeds expectations, demonstrates outstanding creativity and furthers organizational goals. In 2014, the Pacific Plains Region received 57 entries, of which 13 media relations campaigns received honors across its region.

KCD PR believed media exposure would promote the firm’s recruitment model and CEO Tom Daley’s industry expertise, thus helping the platform gain recognition across the industry.
