Breaking the glass ceiling in financial services.
Sheri Fitts, founder of Shoe Fitts Marketing and the host of Women Rocking Wall Street, approached KCD PR for help with the relaunch of her podcast. The podcast, sponsored by Morgan Stanley, aims to empower women to survive and thrive in the financial services workplace. With nearly 70 episodes since its initial launch in 2014, Sheri was looking to reach a larger audience and increase awareness of the challenges females in the finserv industry face. Sheri looked to KCD PR for its expertise in public relations, strategy and communicating messages to targeted audiences.
To generate awareness for the relaunch of the Women Rocking Wall Street podcast, KCD PR implemented a broad communications strategy that included public relations campaigns, targeted media relations outreach and content creation. KCD’s strategy was designed to position Sheri as a thought leader on the finserv profession and a mentor to other women in the industry.
To formally announce the relaunch of the podcast, the KCD PR team issued a press release in partnership with Morgan Stanley’s Diversity & Inclusion team and conducted targeted media outreach, securing introductory meetings and coverage. We also created a social media strategy and content to promote new episodes and elevate Sheri’s social media presence.
By positioning Sheri’s deep experience in financial services and communicating her unique experiences as a woman in the industry, the KCD PR team was able to build valuable relationships with relevant media and reporters. In the first three months of our partnership, KCD organized interviews with reporters at American Banker, Wall Street Journal and 401K Specialist. We also recognized cross-promotional opportunities and secured guest spots for Sheri to speak on other podcasts targeted towards females in finance.
The KCD PR team also elevated Sheri’s expertise as a keynote host by managing speaking and award submissions and securing paid speaking opportunities at events and conferences in the financial industry.
